Save the Seals!
March 1st, 2020.
Despite the on and off rain, everyone came together to help the Marine Mammal Care Center Los Angeles© stay open through the year!
Having been open since 1992 & based in San Pedro, California; MMCC LA has been a beacon of hope for many seals & sea lions. Operating 365 & being powered by fantastic volunteers who work tirelessly with the "treatment and release of rescued California sea lions, Northern elephant seals, Pacific Harbor seals, Northern & Guadalupe fur Seals."
Not only that, they also work along side the Center for Marine Studies© to help educate students & the general public about our incredibly diverse marine neighbors.
The Aquarium of the Pacific© graciously opened their doors for this fundraiser & continue to play their crucial role in marine wildlife education.
*MMCC LA work is authorized by the National Marine Fisheries Service©(NMFS) & operations are in part supported by MAR3INE© (Marine Animal Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release Into the Natural Environment)
